Opposition chief Taiwan's first female presidential candidate

Tsai Ing-wen, head of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) , is set to become Taiwan's first female presidential candidate in history when she represents the DPP in the country's presidential election to be held in January 2012.
