Sakizaya aboriginal people pray at a fire burial ceremony in Taoyuan Saturday for the soul of the fire god and their tribe can have a rebirth after the fire burial and that their tribal culture can pass on to the next generation. The Sakizaya tribe fire god festival was held at the Taoyuan City Indigenous Culture Center. It is estimated that the total population of Sakizaya tribe is 869 nationwide, 96 of whom are registered as living in Taoyuan.
