Taiwan's ruling Kuomintang (KMT) Chairman Eric Chu (朱立倫)said Monday he told Communist Party of China (CPC) General Secretary Xi Jinping (習近平) during their first meeting in Beijing that it was very important to shelve disputes in exchanges between Taiwan and China.
