TSMC, MediaTek solid gains push up Taiex to highest level in 2023

Shares in Taiwan closed at another new high for the year Wednesday as large cap tech stocks, such as contract chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) and smartphone IC designer MediaTek Inc., the two largest stocks on the local stock market, rode a wave of ample liquidity to move higher, dealers said.
