Shares in Taiwan moved higher by more than 130 points to close above 16,500 points after jumping over high technical hurdles ahead of the 10-day moving average of 16,480 points on Wednesday, with contract chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) driving the gains, dealers said.
