Smartphone chip designer MediaTek to hire over 2,000 new employees

Taiwan's largest integrated circuit (IC) designer MediaTek Inc. announced Tuesday that the company plans to hire over 2,000 new employees by the end of the year, with some positions offering master's degree holders an annual salary of NT$2 million (US$71,724).
