Hynix forecast to overtake TSMC as No. 3 global IC supplier

South Korean dynamic random access memory (DRAM) chipmaker SK Hynix Inc. will soon become the third largest integrated circuit supplier in the world, replacing Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), according market advisory firm IC Insights Inc.
