Taiwanese women brings Hakka flavors to France.m2t
Lin never imagined that she would one day give cooking classes in France, but her love of Hakka cuisine has helped her make Brittany her home away from home.
Lin studied food processing in high school, and developed an interest in French food soon after she moved to France with her husband in 2001. She quickly mastered the art of making French desserts. With the assistance of French dessert master chef Francis Maes, she has since published two Chinese-language cookbooks on French desserts.
To show her appreciation for the help she received from Maes, she began to teach Taiwanese cuisine with the Lorient City Association in Brittany as a way of giving back to France.
