Less suppression from China improves impressions: president

Decreased occurrences of Chinese suppression of Taiwan have reduced the country's international isolation, and this improvement should boost the Taiwanese people's willingness and confidence in developing ties with China, President Ma Ying-jeou said Tuesday.
