Taipei, May 17 (CNA) Taiwan's Institute for Information Industry on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with two Japanese organizations on the development of embedded software.

Feng Ming-hui, director general of the Smart Network System Institute under the Taiwanese organization, signed the agreement with representatives from Fujisoft Inc. (FSI) and the Open Embedded Software Foundation in Tokyo, the organization said in a statement.

The three sides will work on the development of embedded software and tests and are expected to jointly carry out tests on the Android system in early June, it added.

Aside from the development of the technology, the three groups will also exchange resources, including information and marketing strategies, associated with embedded software products, the statement noted.

Tests technology offered by the FSI has been stationed in the Taiwanese organization's lab and will be used to provide Taiwanese manufacturers with integrated tests on Android system, it added.
