Taipei, June 30 (CNA) The owner of a Taipei-based technology company, Yun Yun AI Baby Camera Co., Ltd., was indicted on Monday for fatally stabbing one of his employees, in front of multiple witnesses.
Tseng Chih-hsin (曾志新), who is in his 50s, was charged for murdering the firm's chief technology officer, surnamed Liang (梁), on March 7, according to the Taipei District Prosecutors Office.
The murder occurred during a meeting in which Tseng and the company's human resources chief, surnamed Lu (盧), discussed Liang's resignation with him.
According to prosecutors, Tseng stabbed Liang repeatedly in the neck and then attempted to take his own life, but was stopped by Lu and two other staff members.
Liang was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital due to excessive blood loss.
Tseng has been placed in incommunicado detention since March 18 to prevent him from colluding with others or destroying evidence.
The case will be heard by the Taipei District Court, with citizen judges taking part in the ruling.
