Heat alert issued for 10 Taiwan cities, counties Sunday

Due to the effects of a Pacific high-pressure system, cloudy to sunny skies are forecast for areas around Taiwan on Sunday, with a heat alert in effect for 10 cities and counties as daytime temperatures are expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).
