Typhoon Nepartak makes landfall; sustained downpours expected

Typhoon Nepartak made landfall in southeastern Taiwan's Taitung County at 5:50 a.m. Friday, pummeling much of Taiwan with strong gusts and heavy rain, the Central Weather Bureau said.
