Court acquittal of ASE in pollution case criticized

A Kaohsiung-based environmental protection group on Wednesday expressed dissatisfaction with a decision by the local administrative court that revokes penalties sought by the city government for Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Inc. (ASE, 日月光半導體) for a leak of toxic wastewater from its biggest plant in the city.
