The United States was Taiwan's largest source of export orders in the first nine months of 2016, accounting for 28.3 percent of the total orders received. Coming in second were China and Hong Kong (24.3 percent), followed by Europe (18.6 percent), Southeast Asia (12.1 percent) and Japan (5.7 percent), according to the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
