DPP's Lai commits to preserving cross-strait status quo

The ruling Democratic Progressive Party's (DPP) presidential nominee Lai Ching-te (賴清德) on Thursday evening pledged to work to maintain the status quo across the Taiwan Strait at a dinner attended by nearly 100 foreign dignitaries and guests.
