Ma, Xi agree on upholding '1992 consensus': official (update)

A consensus to uphold the "1992 consensus" as the political foundation for cross-strait interactions was reached in the meeting between President Ma Ying-jeou (馬英九) and Chinese President Xi Jinping (習近平), a Chinese official said Saturday after the historic meeting in Singapore.
