Taipei, Dec. 30 (CNA) Major automakers on Tuesday unveiled new models ahead of the Taipei Auto Show, with Tesla showing its electric vehicles, electric pickup truck and humanoid robot.
Tesla showcased its best-selling models in Taiwan -- the Model Y, Model 3 and Model X -- along with displays highlighting its energy solutions and artificial intelligence strategy.
A key attraction at the Tesla booth is the second-generation Tesla bot, Optimus, a humanoid robot designed to perform repetitive or physically demanding tasks and showcase the company's advances in robotics and AI.

Tesla is also displaying its all-electric pickup truck, the Cybertruck, which has drawn attention for its unconventional design and signals the company's expansion beyond passenger vehicles.
Tesla said deliveries of the Model Y remain steady in Taiwan, with registrations of the electric SUV expected to exceed 10,000 units this year.
The Taipei Auto Show will open Wednesday and run through Jan. 4 at the Taipei World Trade Center.
