Berlin, April 16 (CNA) A trade and economic delegation of Taiwanese enterprises is visiting Warsaw, the capital city of Poland, with the aim of promoting Taiwanese products to more potential buyers in Eastern Europe, officials of Taiwan's main trade promotion body said Monday.
The delegation, led by an executive of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, arrived in Warsaw April 15. Members of the team met potential buyers at a trade workshop Monday which was deemed a success, said Philip Huang, director of the Taiwan Trade Center in Warsaw.
The delegation will also visit Turkey, Russia and Hungary during the European trip.
A variety of major infrastructure projects there are expected to bring enormous business opportunities to Poland, which has been chosen to jointly host the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship with Ukraine this June, Huang said.
The delegation, which represents industries such as electronics, textiles, plastics, computers, furniture and cosmetics, is scheduled to attend another trade conference in Poland April 17 in Poznan, a major city in the center of the country.
