Rain causes NT$71 million in damage to farms, schools

Torrential rain over the past 24 hours has caused NT$53.48 million (US$1.74 million) in agricultural losses and damage to 157 schools around Taiwan worth an estimated NT$18.06 million as Friday, according to statistics from the Council of Agriculture (COA) and the Ministry of Education.
