The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced on Tuesday that Taiwan entered the annual enterovirus epidemic season last week when a total of 11,592 patients infected with the virus seeked medical treatment across the nation during the seven-day period, surpassing the epidemic threshold of 11,000.
