Taipei, March 5 (CNA) Taiwan opens its Pool C games at the World Baseball Classic (WBC) on Thursday, taking on Australia at the Tokyo Dome at 11 a.m. (Taiwan time). Right-hander Hsu Jo-hsi (徐若熙) will be the starting pitcher, with Lin Tzu-wei (林子偉) at second base.

Taiwan's batting order: Stuart Fairchild leads off, followed by Lin An-ko (林安可). Chen Chieh-hsien (陳傑憲) bats third, Yu Chang (張育成) is fourth, and Wu Nien-ting (吳念庭) fifth in the order.
