Highway bureau monitors typhoon waves, rockfalls

Typhoon Podul is expected to make landfall near Taitung around noon Wednesday. Huge waves hit Hualien’s east coast in the morning and are expected to reach up to 8 meters near km 61-63 of Provincial Highway 11, which is being monitored by the Highway Bureau.
