Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho set to visit Taiwan in December

Taipei, Sept. 28 (CNA) Former Brazilian soccer player Ronaldinho Gaúcho is set to visit Taiwan for the first time in December, the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) Wei Chuan Dragons said late Tuesday.

The soccer legend is slated to take part in an exhibition footvolley game with Brazilian teqballer Natalia Guitler and "special guests" at the Tianmu Baseball Stadium in Taipei on Dec. 10, the Dragons announced in a social media post.

While in Taiwan from Dec. 9 to 11, he is also expected to participate in a raffle held by the women and children rights advocacy group Garden of Hope Foundation, with the proceeds going in part to underprivileged groups, according to the Dragons.

The 42-year-old Ronaldinho, known for his artistry with the ball, helped Brazil win the 2002 FIFA World Cup and propelled FC Barcelona to a Champions League title in the 2005-2006 season during his stint with the club from 2002 to 2008.
