The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on Tuesday thanked the U.S. for mentioning Taiwan in a speech on America's Indo-Pacific strategy given by the secretary of state on Monday, suggesting the reference indicates the importance Washington attaches to Taipei as an important partner in the new policy.
