Name change referendum petition submitted to election commission

A petition calling for a national referendum on whether the national team should compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics under the name "Taiwan" instead of "Chinese Taipei" has been submitted to the Central Election Commission (CEC) with the required number of signatures, a former athlete who has been leading the campaign said Monday.
