Taipei, June 11 (CNA) South Korean boy band Bigbang announced Thursday that it will bring its 20th anniversary world tour to Taiwan, joining a growing lineup of South Korean entertainers set to visit the country over the coming months.
The group revealed on Instagram that its "Bigbang 20/26 World Tour" will kick off in Seoul on Aug. 21 before traveling to cities across North America, Europe, Australia and Asia.
Bigbang is scheduled to perform at Taipei Dome on Oct. 10-11, while additional Taiwan shows are planned for Feb. 27-28, 2027, at the Kaohsiung National Stadium. Ticket prices and sales information have not yet been announced.
Group leader G-Dragon, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, had previously hinted at the band's return.
Bigbang is among several South Korean male stars set to visit Taiwan in the second half of the year.
The first will be Jaehyun of NCT, who recently completed his mandatory military service and has resumed solo activities. He is scheduled to perform at the Taipei Music Center on July 4-5. Tickets are already on sale.

Actor Byeon Woo-seok, who rose to fame through the television drama "Lovely Runner," is also set to visit Taiwan. His agency recently announced an Asian fan meeting tour, with the Taipei stop scheduled for Sept. 25 at National Taiwan University Sports Center.
Byeon recently drew renewed attention through his upcoming drama with IU, titled "Perfect Crown." Ticketing details for the Taipei fan meeting have yet to be announced.
