Taipei, May 19 (CNA) Nvidia Corp. CEO Jensen Huang (黃仁勳) announced Monday that his company has selected "Beitou Shilin" in Taipei for its new Taiwan office, called Nvidia Constellation, putting an end to months of speculation.
Industry sources have said that the tech giant has been eyeing up the Beitou Shilin Science Park as the site of its new overseas headquarters and speculated that the new headquarters will be built on two plots of land designated as "T17" and "T18," which span 3.89 hectares in the park.

"I think it's time for us to reveal one of the largest products we've ever built," Huang said near the end of his keynote speech at Computex in Taipei.
As Nvidia and its partnerships in Taiwan grow, the number of engineers working at the company's current premises has grown beyond capacity, warranting a new Taiwan office, Huang said.
Huang said that he has informed Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an (蔣萬安) of his company's intention to operate on the site, which Huang said will require Chiang to approve a transfer of a lease from the current occupant.
"We're going to start building [it] as soon as we can," Huang said.
