Taiwan sees more furloughed workers as COVID hits tourism sector

The number of workers on formal furlough programs in Taiwan increased in the past week as the tourism industry felt the pinch from a recent spike in domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases, the Ministry of Labor (MOL) said on Monday.
