New CAL executive appointed, assigned to solve labor dispute

Hsieh Shih-chien (謝世謙), chairman of TACT Logistics, was appointed president of China Airlines (CAL) Friday with immediate effect as dozens of CAL flights were canceled due to a strike by flight attendants, Cabinet spokesman Tung Chen-yuan (童振源) said.
