The foundation will hold a daily briefing at 10 a.m. to introduce the laureates of the seventh award cycle and explain the reasons for their selection, with experts in relevant fields invited to present their achievements and contributions, it said in a statement.

Awarded biennially, the Tang Prize has honored 45 laureates from 17 countries across six continents over the past six award cycles since the inaugural awards in 2014.
Seven Tang Prize laureates from four different award cycles have subsequently received the Nobel Prize, including three recipients of the Biopharmaceutical Science Prize and one recipient of the Sustainable Development Prize.
Each category carries a cash prize of NT$50 million (US$1.6 million) in recognition of the laureates' innovative achievements, substantive contributions, and global impact, according to the foundation's statement.
The Tang Prize was set up by late Taiwanese entrepreneur Samuel Yin (尹衍樑) in 2012.
