Compal's Q1 earnings drop due to slow season

Taiwan's Compal Electronics Inc. (仁寶), the world's second-largest contract maker of laptops, reported a net income decrease of more than 50 percent in first quarter of the year, citing the usual slow season and a strong Taiwan dollar.
