Taipei, June 29 (CNA) Passengers using the airport mass rapid transit (MRT) line to go to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport between July and August are eligible to enter a prize draw, the Taoyuan Metro Corporation (TMC) announced Friday.

Prizes will include five-day roundtrip tickets for flights between Taiwan and Phuket in Thailand, online prepaid phone cards, and cash prizes of NT$10,000 (US$328), according to the TMC.

To enter the draw, people riding on the Airport MRT will need to scan a QR code and enter their personal identification number or passport number before exiting the airport's Terminal 1 (A12) or Terminal 2 (A13) stations.

The QR code can be found on prize draw posters, which will be placed at the information counters of the two stations.

Entrants whose ID cards' last four digits match the numbers drawn for Taiwan's "Four-Star" (4星彩) lottery ticket on the following day will be able to claim a prize, according to the TMC.

But those who enter the game on a weekend will be entered into the prize draw for the winning numbers the following Monday.

The prize draw is reserved for Taiwanese nationals only, and the activity will be held from July 1 to Aug. 31, the TMC said.
