A special investigation unit said Tuesday that it was unaware of the reported death of Andrew Wang (汪傳浦), a Taiwanese arms broker implicated in a corruption scandal dating back to the 1991 procurement of Lafayette-class frigates from France, but said the report will not affect moves to retrieve his illegal gains.
