Taiwan shares end above 9,900 points amid eased trade fears

Shares in Taiwan moved higher to close above the 9,900 point mark Friday amid eased fears over trade friction between the United States and China after U.S. President Donald Trump said he had a "very good conversation" with Chinese President Xi Jinping on trade issues, dealers said.
