Taipei, Sept. 15 (CNA) The facilities and services of the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) have been awarded internationally renowned certificates for their excellence, according to the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) Saturday.

The TWTC received "Best Practice" certificates for all eight categories of the U.S.-based World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), said TAITRA, Taiwan's main trade promotion body that runs the TWTC.

This year, the Taipei center is the only association member to win certificates in all the categories, including trade information services, business services, club facilities, tenant services, conference services and trade technology innovations, TAITRA added.

TAITRA Chairman Wang Chih-kang expressed gratitude for the honor and said he will attend the WTCA's annual meeting in Moscow Sept. 24 to receive the awards.

Established in 1969, the global association now has over 330 world trade center members in 100 countries. As a nonprofit, non-political organization, it aims to promote prosperity through trade and investment.
