Taipei, March 26 (CNA) Online registration for the 2025 Taipei 101 Run Up, a race up Taipei's landmark skyscraper, begins at noon Thursday, organizers said Wednesday.
Taipei 101's chairperson Janet Chia (賈永婕) said at a news conference that the 5,200 spots for the race on May 3 are expected to sell out quickly.
"I think Taipei 101 Run Up can be considered one of Taiwan's most famous, most representative competitive events," Chia said.
Chia added that 15 percent of the registration fees will be donated to four charities: Basegarden, Teach For Taiwan, World Vision and CTBC Charity Foundation.
Chou Szu-chi (周思齊), a former professional baseball player and founder of Basegarden, was also named "ambassador" for the event.
Speaking at the news conference, Chou said that running up Taiwan's tallest building "should be quite exhausting."
