Over 1,300 geese at Chiayi farm culled due to avian flu

Despite the recent warm weather that should have helped reduce the spread of avian influenza through Taiwan's poultry operations, 1,312 geese have been culled at a goose farm in Chiayi County after it was confirmed to have been infected with the virus, the Council of Agriculture (COA) said Tuesday.
