Taipei, Nov. 22 (CNA) Taiwan's Executive Yuan has approved diplomatic personnel changes, appointing Phoebe Yeh (葉非比), Taiwan's representative to Malaysia, as the new representative to Sweden.
Lien Yu-ping (連玉蘋), head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Department of International Cooperation and Economic Affairs, will take over as Taiwan's representative to Malaysia, according to the Cabinet.
The move follows former Swedish representative Gu Ruey-sheng's (谷瑞生) October transfer to Germany. With the Sweden post vacant, Yeh will assume the position, while Lien will step into the Malaysia role.

Yeh has served as director of the Bureau of Consular Affairs and deputy representative to Indonesia.
Lien holds a bachelor's degree in economics from National Chung Hsing University, a master's in international relations from the University of Wyoming, and a doctorate in East Asian studies from National Chengchi University.
She has served as deputy representative to Malaysia and as deputy permanent representative to Taiwan's delegation to the World Trade Organization.
