Chiang led victory over Japan in 2nd Sino-Japanese War: ex-premier

Former Premier Hau Pei-tsun (郝柏村), who fought in the Second Sino-Japanese War, has called on the Chinese Communist Party several times to face up squarely to the historical fact that it was the late Republic of China President Chiang Kai-shek who led the Chinese people to victory in the eight-year war against Japan. Hau has also expressed the hope that Taiwan and China will both attach greater importance to the history of the war.
