Taipei deputy mayor named new labor minister

Taipei Deputy Mayor Chen Hsiung-wen was named the new labor minister Wednesday, filling the position vacated by Pan Shih-wei, who resigned the post in July amid rumors that he had had an inappropriate relationship with his secretary.
