Taiwan shares end almost flat as old economy stocks weather pressure

Shares in Taiwan closed almost flat Wednesday as buying of old economy stocks, in particular in the steel and shipping/airline industries, which rode the wave of rising global demand, offset the impact of selling in the electronics sector, dealers said.
