Intel Labs, ITRI launch prototype of low-energy DRAM memory (update)

U.S.-based Intel Corp.'s research arm announced Tuesday that it has created a new low-energy prototype memory array alongside Taiwan's state-funded Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) that could boost device battery life.
