Taiwan aims to launch digital ID in 2020: premier

Taiwan's government is aiming to launch electronic national identify cards (new eID) in 2020 to facilitate access to e-government services, simplify administrative processes and improve efficiency and transparency, Premier Lai Ching-te (賴清德) said on Thursday.
