Taipei, March 19 (CNA) The weather in Taiwan is expected to remain warm and comfortable Monday, before a continental cold air mass moves in the following day, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said.

Daytime highs of 25-30 degrees Celsius were forecast across the country Monday, dropping to 17-21 degrees at night, the bureau said.

As a weather front passes over Taiwan and a continental air mass approaches, however, daytime highs on Tuesday will drop by 6-9 degrees in northern and northeastern Taiwan, while the chance of rain will also increase, the bureau said.

From Wednesday to early Friday, lows of 11-13 degrees can be expected in northern and northeastern Taiwan and 13-15 degrees in the rest of the country, although the weather will turn drier, according to the CWB.

The cold wave is forecast to begin to weaken during the day Friday, giving way to warmer weather again, the bureau said.
