Mercury forecast to drop to 10 degrees Celsius in northern Taiwan

An approaching frontal surface and cold air mass from mainland China are expected to send temperatures plunging to 10 degrees Celsius in coastal and open areas of northern Taiwan before the weekend, the Central Weather Bureau said Monday.
