Indonesia has one of the largest Muslim populations in the world. Taiwan, including Taipei, has been actively trying to attract more Muslim tourists to boost the tourism industry.

Taipei's Mayor Ko said he's been promoting a Muslim-friendly environment to welcome Muslim tourists.

Ko said e-commerce in the Muslim world has been growing rapidly, and Taiwan has competitive information technology (IT) and internet industries.

"Our two cities can cooperate in these areas," Ko said.

Jakarta hopes to have exchanges with Taipei so that Jakarta- Taipei collaboration can increase interaction and cooperation between Taiwan and Indonesia, Anies said.
