Most think freezing independence clause helps cross-strait ties

Taipei, Aug. 29 (CNA) The independence clause in the opposition Democratic Progressive Party's (DPP's) charter has been a much-debated topic in Taiwan amid the warming of cross-Taiwan Strait exchanges, and the latest survey shows that most people in Taiwan believe freezing the clause would further stabilize the links.
