Taiwan to seek U.S. sales of more advanced fighter jets: official

Taiwan is hoping to acquire advanced fighter jets from the United States, preferably the F-35 stealth fighter, but upgraded F-16C/D fighters would also be an option, a Defense Ministry official said Tuesday.
