Taipei. Jan. 5 (CNA) A Taipei citizen received two luxury hotelaccommodation vouchers worth NT$50,000 when she was named officiallyas the 3 millionth visitor to the Taipei International Flora ExpoWednesday.

Chou Chia-hui, who lives close to the site of the expo, said shecould not believe her luck at winning the prize from among the 1,100visitors, who were issued "draw tickets" as they entered an expo siteat around the 3 million mark.

The draw was necessary as the large number of different ticketingand entry points to the expo meant that it was impossible toascertain which exact ticket was the 3 millionth.

Expo organizers began issuing the draw tickets at the DajiaRiverside Park, one of the four main expo areas, that afternoon.

The other prizes and souvenirs included specially designedscarves, commemorative cups and horns made of nanopaper.

Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin, who presided over the lucky draw, expressed his appreciation for the public's support of the expo, which has attracted 3 million visitors within just two months of itsopening last Nov. 6.

"Greater prizes will be offered for every additional onemillionth visitor," Hau said.
